It is typically a good idea to stay away from the better-known brands as they spend a lot of money on advertising and their cheap treadmills are not really cheap at all. Often, you can go with a lesser-known company that only offers inexpensive treadmills for the home user and find one that actually has some quality to it.
There are very few things to look for when it comes to quality on a treadmill. Motor size and noise, tread size and cushioning and overall stability are the things that you should be really concerned about. You don't need to spend much to be able to get a quality piece of equipment that fits in well with these three different criteria. Once you do, you will have a quality piece of equipment that will not break the bank.
